Today, the Apollo Group celebrated the opening of its first Apollo-branded entertainment complex in the Baltic States – Apollo Plaza in the Rotermann Quarter. This marks the first time that all of the group’s branded entertainment and leisure facilities have been brought together under one roof.
Apollo Group CEO Toomas Tiivel says that as the largest entertainment provider in the Baltic States, Apollo aims to be a pioneer on the market. “By that I mean leading the way and offering solutions that others then follow,” he explained. “Apollo Plaza is our new home, where a lot of our brands and services are conveniently located in one building, right in the heart of Tallinn. This is a significant step – one that demonstrates our strong market position and versatility.”
Apollo Plaza is home to the largest cinema in Estonia, as well as Apollo’s flagship bookstore, a cinema shop and a range of restaurants, including Lido and MySushi. The complex has been designed to offer activities for people of all ages and to serve as an all-in-one destination for family, friends and colleagues.
To achieve the building’s new look, a significant amount of money was invested in renovating the complex so as to provide visitors with a modern, high-quality entertainment environment. In addition, the visitor experience is boosted by the Apollo Club’s renowned loyalty programme, which links all of the group’s businesses and offers customers special offers and attractive discounts.
The new complex is located in what was formerly Coca-Coca Plaza, in the heart of the Rotermann Quarter, just a few hundred metres from other Apollo Group brands like Vapiano, Blender (in Viru Keskus shopping centre) and KFC (in Foorum shopping centre).
Apollo Plaza’s opening day offered guests an exclusive programme MCed by popular TV presenter Robert Rool. The Estonian band Púr Múdd gave an uplifting concert, while delicious food was prepared in the kitchens of Lido and MySushi.
The Apollo Group is a holding company of the MM Group, which owns Apollo stores and cinemas, O’Learys entertainment centres, the Vapiano, MySushi and Lido restaurants, KFC fast food outlets, Blender juice bars and IceCafe ice cream cafés in the Baltic States and Finland.
