TALLINN - In the first half of 2026, Elisa Estonia's revenue grew by 3.3 percent compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 111 million euros. Revenue for the same period last year was 107 million euros.

Elisa Estonia CEO Andrus Hiiepuu emphasized that the economic environment remains uncertain, and geopolitical risks have brought the resilience of digital infrastructure and cybersecurity into sharper focus.

"Elisa's response to these challenges is continuous investment in network quality, reliability, and smart infrastructure - from developing the 5G and fiber-optic network to implementing artificial intelligence in network management and supporting the balancing of the energy system. Customer trust is confirmed by both our continued success in number portability and independent recognition of our network quality.

According to Ookla, Elisa's 5G network was recognized as Estonia's fastest and best 5G network for the third consecutive measurement period. This recognition reflects the company's consistent investments in network quality and coverage. In the second quarter, Elisa continued its investments in developing digital infrastructure, expanding both its mobile and fixed-line networks.

In the first half of the year, customers who switched mobile operators continued to prefer Elisa the most. According to the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority, a net total of 2,611 mobile numbers ported to Elisa in the first half of 2026, which was the best result among Estonian mobile operators. Over the past five years, Elisa has grown its customer base by more than 14,000 customers through number portability.

In the second quarter, Elisa Estonia also deployed Elisa IndustrIQ's AI-based energy management solution, Gridle. The solution optimizes the use of base station backup batteries, improves mobile network reliability during power outages, and allows base station batteries to support the balancing of the electricity system managed by Elering.

Additionally, Elisa won one of Estonia's largest Wi-Fi procurements and will build a network with nearly 800 Wi-Fi access points for TalTech in more than 20 buildings across Estonia by the end of 2026, bringing future connectivity directly to students and researchers.

The landscape of cyber threats changed significantly in the second quarter. While the number of scam calls from spoofed phone numbers decreased nearly ninefold compared to the first quarter, with Elisa blocking over 628,000 attempted scam calls, fraudsters increasingly moved to new channels, using foreign phone numbers, communication apps, and scam messages. At the same time, the number of online threats grew. Elisa's Netivalvur (Net Guard) detected nearly 80.6 million cyber threats during the quarter and blocked more than 405,000 malicious web addresses, which is approximately 37 percent and 29 percent more, respectively, than in the first quarter of the year.

The company's long-term contribution to responsible business practices was also recognized internationally. For the third consecutive year, Time and Statista named Elisa among the world's 100 most sustainable companies, and in Estonia, the company maintained its gold level in the Responsible Business Index.

In the second quarter, Elisa solidified its position as Estonia's leading provider of domestic television content. According to a Socio market survey, consumers aged 20-49 rated Elisa as the most valued paid TV content provider in Estonia for its selection of Estonian-language series and films.

The quality of Elisa's original content was also recognized at the Estonian Film and Television Awards (EFTA), where the drama series "Minu kallis ema" (My Dear Mother) won five EFTA awards, including for Best TV Series. During the quarter, filming also began for the fourth and final season of one of Elisa's most popular original series, "Reetur" (The Traitor). The final season will first premiere to audiences at the Black Nights Film Festival.

As of the end of the second quarter of 2026, Elisa had 691,000 mobile subscribers, 176,000 fixed-line internet customers, and 146,000 TV customers.
