American International School wants to expand but fails to get permit

The American International School of Vilnius (AISV) has failed to get a permit from Lithuania's authorities for its planned expansion for a year now.  The fee-paying school, which is attended by the children of foreign diplomats and business people, last year applied to the capital's local authority for a permit to add a mansard story to its building in Subaciaus Street, in the Old Town of Vilnius.
