Ambassadors of Pakistan, Uganda present credentials to Estonian president

TALLINN - Estonian President Alar Karis received the credentials of Ambassador of Uganda Margaret Mutembeya Otteskov and Ambassador of Pakistan Khalid Hussain Memon in Kadriorg on Tuesday.

At the meetings, the president and the ambassadors discussed strengthening Estonia's relations with both countries in e-governance and digital, education and economic cooperation. 

During conversations with both ambassadors, Karis raised the issue of Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine and underscored the need to continue comprehensively supporting Ukraine.

"Russia's war in Ukraine affects the entire world, which is why it is important to continue our joint efforts in supporting Ukraine," the head of state staid. The topics discussed also included the importance of ensuring legal accountability for Russia for all the crimes committed in Ukraine.

Margaret Mutembeya Otteskov, the first Ugandan ambassador accredited to Estonia, resides in Copenhagen. The new ambassador of Pakistan, Khalid Hussain Memon, resides in Warsaw.
