Vilnius-based gas pipeline construction company Alvora together with Siauliu Dujotekio Statyba (Siauliai Gas Pipeline Construction) are likely to be awarded a contract to build the Lithuanian part of the Gas Interconnector Poland-Lithuania (GIPL).
Government Chancellor Alminas Maciulis, who heads a special governmental commission vetting deals by strategic companies, said on July 25 the commission gave greenlight for the natural gas transmission system operator Amber Grid to sign a contract with the Alvora-led group.
