Almost 100 traffic accidents recorded in Latvia in a few hours

RIGA - On Thursday, from 6 am to 1.40 pm, there were 90 road traffic accidents in the country with no injuries and four with injuries, the State Police informed LETA news agency.

For example, this morning a traffic bus drove into a ditch near Smiltene and overturned. People were not injured in the accident.

As reported, driving conditions on most roads throughout Latvia are difficult, representatives of Latvijas Valsts Celi (LVC) state road manager informed LETA.

LVC pointed out that after heavy snowfall this night and this morning, roads have been cleaned and anti-skid materials have been spread several times already. However, it is still snowing.
