Algirdas Butkevicius hints at resignation over parliamentary election loss

Lithuania's Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius says he will “probably” resign from the leadership of the Social Democratic Party, if the party loses Lithuania’s parliamentary election in Autumn 2016.  "If we fail in the elections, which can certainly happen in a democratic country, I will probably have to give up my position as the party's leader," Butkevicius told journalists at a party meeting in Vilnius on Sunday.
