Alcohol consumption levels in Lithuania are misleading, as statistics specialists have been failing to include some factors, shows a new survey. According to its findings, given shadow alcohol sales and the alcohol taken out of the country by emigrants and foreign tourists, residents of Lithuania consume about 13.1 litres of alcohol per capita, which is nearly 1 litre less than the official statistics.
