TALLINN – Latvian state-owned airline airBaltic is set to open a direct route between Tallinn and the Bulgarian city of Burgas on the Black Sea in May 2024.
The route will open on May 1, 2024. The flight between Tallinn and Burgas will last three hours and 40 minutes and departures will be on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
airBaltic has previously announced that it will also start flying to Malta and Billund, Denmark from Tallinn next spring. The Tallinn-Billund service will launch on May 2 and the Tallinn-Malta service on May 4. Flights will take place twice and once a week, respectively.
Overall, the airline plans to launch a total of 13 new routes from the three Baltic countries and its newest base, Tampere in Finland, in the next summer season. The new destinations to be operated out of Riga are Alicante, Chisinau, Ljubljana, Pristina, Skopje, Sofia and Tirana.
