airBaltic launches flights between Tallinn, Barcelona

TALLINN - Latvian airline airBaltic launched direct flights between Tallinn and Barcelona on Wednesday.

The new service between the two cities takes four hours, with flights operating twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. As of April 1, 2025, the flights will take place on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Martin Gauss, president and CEO of airBaltic, said Tallinn is one of airBaltic's home cities, and they are committed to continuously improving connectivity from there to offer customers more travel options.

"The new route enhances travel choices and provides onward connectivity to the rest of the world, further strengthening our position as the leading airline in Estonia and the Baltic states," he said.

Eero Pärgmäe, board member of Tallinn Airport, noted there is high demand for Spanish destinations in the Estonian market and Barcelona is already a loved destination. This is the second direct route by airBaltic to Spain. airBaltic's Malaga route has been very well received.

In the spring, airBaltic will open direct routes from Tallinn to Reykjavik and Tirana.
