TALLINN - The Latvian airline airBaltic opened a new direct route between Tallinn and the Albanian capital Tirana on Monday -- the flight lasts approximately three hours and the flights will operate twice a week until Sept. 30.
Eero Pärgmäe, member of the management board at Tallinn Airport, said that the cooperation with airBaltic is excellent.
"This is a reliable partner that offers a wide range of direct flights from Tallinn Airport. Every season, airBaltic also adds new destinations to its selection, which expands the travel options of the people of Estonia and makes the world even more accessible to us," Pärgmäe added.
Mantas Vrubliauskas, vice president of network development at airBaltic, said that the new flight to Tirana is a great addition to the company's extensive summer flight network from Tallinn.
"Tirana is a great destination for those looking for cultural experiences, a vibrant city life and the opportunity to explore Albania's beautiful Adriatic coast. We are committed to expanding connections from Tallinn to Europe and beyond and thank Tallinn Airport for their cooperation in creating this new connection," he added.
Never before has it been possible to fly to Albania from Tallinn on a regular flight.
During the 2025 summer season, that is from the end of March to the end of October, it will be possible to fly to 22 destinations from Tallinn with airBaltic. These destinations are Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Billund, Brussels, Burgas, Copenhagen, Heraklion, London, Malaga, Malta, Munich, Nice, Oslo, Palma De Mallorca, Paris, Reykjavik, Rhodes, Riga, Split, Tirana and Vilnius.
