RIGA - The cabin crews of Latvia's airBaltic national carrier have been instructed how to respond to suspected cases of coronavirus infection, the airline's representative Alise Briede told LETA.
airBaltic planes have been also been provided with the necessary protective equipment, she said.
Briede underlined that airBaltic does not operate direct flights to China and that the coronavirus outbreak therefore is not affecting demand for airBaltic tickets. airBaltic might start to feel its effects if European countries started cancelling various sports events, conferences and concerts due to the contagion, the representative said.
Meanwhile, airBaltic is following health authorities' recommendations, adjusting its day-to-day operations to the situation. The company's aircraft have received the necessary equipment and the cabin crews are instructed how to respond to suspected coronavirus cases.
