Notably, two Toyota models secured the top spots on the list of the most popular car models. The Toyota Corolla was the best-selling model of 2024 in the country, with over 1,600 units sold. Following closely behind, the Toyota RAV4, an SUV model, claimed second place with over 1,300 units sold. While Toyota leads in the mainstream market, Mototoja has also seen consistent growth in the premium segment with Lexus.

According to him, Toyota's popularity in Lithuania is no coincidence.
“The reasons are both rational and emotional,” explains E. Povilauskas. “Reliability is a synonym for Toyota. Lithuanians value cars that rarely break down, last a long time, and require little maintenance.”

Secondly, he says, Toyota is praised for its low maintenance costs, thanks in part to fuel-efficient engines, especially hybrids.
