Latvia’s largest cosmetics producer, H.A.Brieger, has invested over €45,000 to expand its oral care product range. The result is a completely new line of "Dzintars" products, specifically designed as gentle, effective children’s toothpastes under the "Mazirbe" label. This new "Dzintars" line combines playful flavors with ingredient combinations aligned with global trends - such as arginine with baking soda and a calcium-fluoride complex - developed in the company’s laboratory.
Anastasija Udalova, co-owner and CEO of H.A.Brieger, emphasizes, “By introducing these new, child-specific oral care products, we are not only expanding the "Dzintars" portfolio but also contributing to the growth of the entire Latvian manufacturing sector. This is a significant innovation that increases the availability of high-quality, locally made products on store shelves, offering Latvian families more options. The H.A.Brieger team is proud to provide a unique, high-quality oral care line that helps children develop good oral health habits from a young age”.
Suitable for various age groups
The new "Mazirbe" toothpastes are formulated with 97% naturally ingredients and are vegan-friendly. For children ages 3 and up, there is a toothpaste with gentle abrasiveness featuring raspberry and chamomile flavors. It contains a unique calcium-fluoride complex (1000 ppm F) that helps strengthen enamel and protect teeth against cavities.
For children ages 6 and up, a gently abrasive toothpaste with sweet cherry and mint flavors has been developed. Its formulation includes an effective arginine and baking soda complex to help neutralize sugar acids, while added fluoride (1450 ppm F) strengthens enamel and combats plaque buildup. Each "Mazirbe" toothpaste box includes a surprise for children. Parents are encouraged to open it carefully with their kids and complete the tasks provided. A total of six collectible tasks are available.
Availability in stores
Both new "Mazirbe" children's toothpastes are already available for purchase in the "Dzintars" online store at www.dzintars.lv. They will soon also be available in the "Drogas" beauty store chain across Latvia.
With the launch of these two new children’s toothpastes, the "Dzintars" lineup now includes 10 toothpastes. The functional toothpaste line features four products: whitening, multifunctional, sensitive teeth, and gum health formulas. Meanwhile, the innovative "Asari" toothpaste series includes four products with distinct flavors - apple-quince, blackcurrant, orange, and rhubarb.
About H.A.Brieger
The origins of the Dzintars cosmetics brand date back to 1849 when Heinrich Adolf Brieger founded a soap and perfumery factory in Riga, which later grew to become one of Latvia's largest cosmetics producers over three generations. The company's new owners purchased the factory with a mission to revive Brieger's approach—developing products thoughtfully and carefully for today’s dynamic world. Thus, the company and factory name has been restored to its historical identity, H.A.Brieger, while retaining the Dzintars brand for cosmetics products. H.A.Brieger's majority shareholder is Skinest Group, an Estonian industrial manufacturing company operating in ten countries with over 1,400 employees. Skinest Group owns 67% of H.A.Brieger, while the remaining 33% is held by CEO Anastasija Udalova. H.A.Brieger holds quality management and good manufacturing practice certificates, ISO 9001 and GMP (ISO 22716). More information about the company and its brands: www.dzintars.lv.
