After the Belarusian Energy Ministry confirmed an “extreme situation” during the construction of the Astravyets Nuclear Power Plant close to the Lithuanian border, a Lithuanian nuclear energy expert maintains it was a serious incident and does not rule out that the utility might need a new body of the reactor, although other officials have expressed stronger opinions.
