A total of 168 songs and 89 performers have entered into Supernova 2017, a competition organised by the public Latvian Television to pick the Latvian act for the annual Eurovision Song Contest.
The organisers of Supernova 2017 said that now the entrants would be reviewed for eligibility. After that, an international jury will select the 40 to 50 best entries to be invited for an audition in late November. The televised finals to choose the Latvian act for Eurovision usually take place in spring.
