66 vehicles confiscated from drunk drivers already delivered to Ukraine

RIGA - Up until now, 66 vehicles confiscated from drunk drivers have been already delivered to the Ukrainian armed forces, LETA was told by the State Provision Agency.

According to the Law on the Support of Civilians of Ukraine, vehicles belonging to the Latvian state can be transferred to the property of the Ukrainian free of charge in order to help prevent the consequences of the emergency situation related to the hostilities in Ukraine and to support the Ukrainian people. This is one of the ways Latvia helps Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.

As reported, in November of last year a bill came into force allowing motor vehicles that are seized from drunk drivers be handed over to Ukraine's armed forces.
