RIGA - State budget's base expenditure in 2021 is projected at EUR 7.43 billion, according to the Finance Ministry's report on the state budget in 2021, 2022 and 2023, which the government reviewed today.
Basic budget's base expenditure in 2021 is projected at EUR 7.43 billion and in 2022 at EUR 7.66 billion. Compared to 2020, budget expenditure is to increase by EUR 5.9 million in 2021. In 2022, budget expenditure will increase by EUR 59 million as compared to 2021.
In 2023, budget expenditure is projected at EUR 7.41 billion, a decrease of EUR 191.6 million compared to 2022.
Special budget's base expenditure in 2021 is projected at EUR 3.16 billion, in 2022 at EUR 3.23 billion and in 2023 at EUR 3.38 billion. Compared to the preceding year, expenditure in 2021 will increase by EUR 3 million, decrease by EUR 102.7 million in 2022, and increase by EUR 53.4 million in 2023.
According to the Finance Ministry, the budget's expenditure projections have been altered taking into consideration the projected revenue from social insurance contributions, average gross monthly wage, labor market figures, consumer price changes, and other projections.
