RIGA - The runway of the Riga International Airport was closed for several hours Saturday, and 17 flights were redirected to other airports, said the airport’s representative Elina Prikule.
Seven inbound flights and four outbound flights were cancelled today.
The runway was closed between 10:26 a.m. and 3:55 p.m. as a safety precaution following an emergency landing by an airBaltic flight.
