14% of Latvian residents have received first dose of Covid-19 vaccine

RIGA - So far, 14 percent of the Latvian population have received the first vaccine dose against Covid-19, while 2.87 percent of the population have completed their vaccination process, according to the data of the National Health Service.

On Monday, 2,513 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Latvia, according to the National Health Service. The first vaccine dose against Covid-19 was given to 1,836 people on Monday, while the second dose was given to 677 people. However, these results are subject to change, as vaccination data must be entered into the system within three days.

According to the latest data, 56,380 people were vaccinated last week, or an average of 8,055 people a day, which is 18 percent more than a week earlier.

Since the beginning of the vaccination process, 267,641 or 14.13 percent of the population in Latvia have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, but 54,325 people or 2.87 percent of the population have completed the vaccination process after receiving their second dose or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

As reported, from Monday, any Latvian resident over the age of 18 can register on the manavakcina.lv system and choose the closest and most convenient place for vaccination against Covid-19 and the time for vaccination.
