RIGA – The 12th Saeima today opens its last fall session.
Saeima will have its first meeting on September 6, while today and tomorrow Saeima committees will meet, and the Saeima presidium has a meeting today.
The fall session of the 12th Saeima will last for about two months – until November 6, when the new Saeima will convene for its first meeting.
The Saeima elections will take place on October 6.
Under the Saeima rules of procedure Saeima convenes for regular and extraordinary sessions. There are three regular sessions each year - fall, winter and spring sessions.
