RIGA - The new IT platform ViVat will make it easier for residents to apply for Covid-19 vaccination, Health Minister Daniels Pavluts (For Development/For) told reporters on Monday.
The new system brings together different vaccination institutions, said Pavluts.
The new platform will connect the existing appointment calendars into a single system and make it easier for healthcare institutions to order Covid-19 vaccines, while physicians will see in the new system whether a patient belongs to a particular priority group. ViVat will also be used for registration of vaccinations in the E-health system. Pavluts expects ViVat to make vaccination institutions more efficient and bring order to the lines of people waiting to be immunized.
For residents, the new platform will make it easier to apply for vaccinations, added Pavluts.
As reported, starting today medical institutions will use the new ViVat system for making appointments for Covid-19 vaccination.
