RIGA - Economics Minister Janis Vitenbergs (KPV LV) proposes to revise Covid-19 rules for the retail sector by further increasing the minimum floor space required per shopper and at the same time allowing all stores in shopping malls to remain open on weekends and holidays, LETA was told at the Economics Ministry.
The measures proposed by Vitenbergs are intended to reduce shoppers' mobility in a controlled way, to disperse the traffic of visitors across the stores and ensure a strict control of compliance with distancing rules, thus reducing infection risks.
