Vilnius court rejects prosecutor’s request to extend remand of MG Baltic vice-president Kurlianskis

Kurlianskis, who is suspected of bribing politicians, was expected to be released from custody on Tuesday, Kazys Pednycia, his lawyer, told reporters after the Vilnius District Court’s hearing. The court put the businessman under house arrest for two months and banned him from having any contact with Eligijus Masiulis, a former leader of the Liberal Movement.
