Vilnius and Riga see faster increase in RP prices, Tallinn boasts highest prices and RE market activity

The Ober-Haus Lithuanian apartment price index (OHBI), which records changes in residential property (RP) prices in the five major Lithuanian cities (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai, and Panevezys), increased by 0.4 per cent in Aug. 2016. In Aug. 2016 apartment prices in Vilnius grew 0.7 per cent with the average price per square metre reaching 1,393 euros (+10 euros/sqm). Over one year the prices of apartments in Vilnius increased by 5.8 per cent and since the last lowest price level recorded in May 2010 prices have increased by 20.7 per cent (+239 euros/sqm).
