Rigas Satiksme, the municipal public transport company of the Latvian capital, carried 11.652 million passengers in June 2015, an increase of 3 percent from June 2014, a company representative told the BNS news service.
Rigas Satiksme spokesman Viktors Zakis said the largest number of passengers, 5,557 million people, was carried by buses.
Also, 3,444 million people used trolleybuses, and 2,651 million people trams in June 2015.
In 2014, Rigas Satiksme carried 150.527 million passengers, an increase of 0.3 percent from 2013.
Fully owned by the Riga City Council, Rigas Satiksme provides bus, tram and trolleybus services to passengers in Riga.
