Tallinn to Become the World's Northernmost Beach Tennis Capital for a Week

TALLINN - From July 13 to 19, Tallinn will host the FenixBet Tallinn Beach Tennis Open 2026, the largest beach tennis competition in the history of the Baltic states.

Over 400 athletes from nearly 20 countries will arrive at Pirita beach to compete in the world's northernmost International Tennis Federation (ITF) beach tennis tournament, which will also determine the Estonian champions.

The FenixBet Tallinn Beach Tennis Open 2026 is an official ITF international tournament, held in Tallinn for the third time. According to organizer Andres Susi, the Tallinn tournament is highly regarded in the beach tennis world, and the sands of Pirita beach will feature top international talent, including ten players from the world's top 30 rankings.

"Estonia is the world's northernmost country where top-level beach tennis is played, and this year's tournament will be the largest in our history," said Andres Susi. "Every year, both the number of participants and the scale of the tournament grow. This year, three new tournament classes have been added, and thanks to the new beach soccer courts built at Pirita beach, our event area is also larger."

Beach tennis is aiming for inclusion in the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games program, with a positive decision from the International Olympic Committee expected as early as this year.

Next week in Pirita, spectators can watch Estonia's top beach tennis player and reigning national champion, Renate Marilin Hinno, who is ranked 62nd in the world and has won 15 ITF titles.

Estonia will also be represented by its most successful junior players: Aylin Susi, the 2024 U14 European champion and a two-time silver and one-time bronze medalist at the U16 World Championships; and Adelia Susi, a bronze medalist at the 2024 U18 European Championships, a two-time World Championships bronze medalist, and a multiple Estonian champion.

In the men's competition, Estonia's top three will take to the court: Andree Karel Kalle, the reigning national champion and a six-time ITF tournament winner; Ragnar Jung, the national mixed doubles champion; and Karl Henrik Pukka, the U18 national champion and last year's national championship silver medalist.

For the second consecutive year, FenixBet is the title sponsor of the Tallinn Beach Tennis Open 2026. According to company CEO Priit Pajumaa, one of the company's strategic goals is to help exciting niche sports reach a broader audience.

The FenixBet Tallinn Beach Tennis Open 2026 will feature participants not only from European beach tennis powerhouses like Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal, but also from Brazil, Puerto Rico, Japan, Aruba, Venezuela, Australia, and several other nations.

The tournament will feature ten of the world's top 30 players, including Nicole Nobile of Italy (ranked 14th) and Mathieu Guegano of France (ranked 13th).
