RIGA - British musician Sting will give his only concert in the Baltics this year at Arena Riga on October 2; the concert is part of Sting's My Songs world tour, as the FBI concert agency informed LETA.
Sting's tour My Songs commenced in early 2019 and also saw him give a gig in Riga. This year the tour will continue with concerts in the United States and Europe. The concert in Riga will be Sting's only concert in the Baltics this year.
Gordon Matthew Thomas Samner, known as Sting, has received eleven Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, a Golden Globe and an Emmy, four Oscars, and other awards. As a member of the Police, Sting has won six Grammy awards and two Brit awards; in 2003 the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Solo and with the Police combined, Sting has sold over 100 million records.
The organizers say that the public will have a chance to hear their favorite songs during Sting's concert in Riga: Fields of Gold, Shape of My Heart, Roxanne, Demolition Man, Englishman in New York, Every Breath You Take, Message in a Bottle and many others.
