TALLINN - Russian border guards at the end of last week detained three Latvian men violating the Estonian-Russian border on Lake Lammijarv and handed them over to their Estonian colleagues on Monday.
Border guards at 7:42 p.m. on Sunday discovered an illegal motorboat crossing of the temporary control line from Estonia to Russia on Lake Lammijarv. Russian officials detained the boat and the three Latvian citizens in it, who was drunk and without identification, spokespeople for the South prefecture of the Estonian Police and Border Guard said.
An Estonian border patrol on Monday received a 23-year-old, a 33-year-old and a 35-year-old man from their Russian colleagues.
