Romantika begins service between Tallinn and Stockholm tonight and will bring the popular bands Terminaator and SADU to Tallinn Bay this summer

Tonight, July 2, the passenger ship Romantika begins regular service between Tallinn and Stockholm. In addition, two special summer evening cruises are scheduled, taking place on July 21 and August 4, and will bring well-known Estonian artists, an entertainment program, and a summer festival atmosphere to Tallinn Bay.

“For many people, Romantika is a ship associated with special memories, and we’re delighted to bring it back into service this summer. In addition to the trips to Stockholm, the two special summer evening cruises in Tallinn Bay offer the chance to take a little break from everyday life. Guests are welcome to spend an evening at sea, enjoy good music, entertainment, and the sunset, and be back home by morning,” said Piret Mürk-Dubout, a member of the Tallink Grupp’s management board.

The first summer evening cruise, starring the legendary rock band Terminaator, will take place on July 21. Passengers will be welcomed on board by the IMPEERIUM Improv Theater, which will also perform at the Starlight Showbar during the evening. The party band Roxy will provide music for dancing, Robert Linna will host a music bingo game at the Sea Pub, and Todd Oliver from Ireland will perform live music. Weather permitting, the first-ever Silent Disco featuring three DJs (DJ Kotsar, DJ Sven Arusoo, and DJ All-Viss (Latvia)) will take place on the sun deck.

The second summer evening cruise featuring the exceptionally popular band SADU will take place on August 4. Dance music will be provided by the Jukebox Band, whose setlist guests can shape through a vote. Wanda-Helene Ollep and Maria Rander will perform as soloists, and SADU will be the evening’s headliner. Also returning are the IMPEERIUM Improv Theater, Robert Linna’s music bingo, the Silent Disco on the sun deck, and DJ Sten Zeider with karaoke.

In addition to the two special cruises, the Romantika will operate on the Tallinn–Stockholm route on weekends from July 2 through August 8, sailing on a schedule opposite that of the Baltic Queen. Restaurants, shops, and children’s areas are open on board, and in addition to a varied entertainment program, passengers can enjoy a sauna center with a sea view and a large sun deck.

The cruise ship Romantika was completed in 2002 and is Tallink’s first custom-built cruise ship, as well as the first new passenger ship built for an Estonian shipping company. In previous years, the ship has sailed on routes to Helsinki, Stockholm, and Riga, and has also operated charter trips. Romantika’s sister ship, Victoria I, currently operates the Tallinn–Helsinki route.
