"The visit of the president of Romania to Estonia has been planned for a long time and fits well into the time when we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the conclusion of diplomatic relations between Estonia and Romania. Romania is a partner and ally of Estonia on important foreign and security issues, and we also cooperate actively within the framework of the Three Seas Initiative," Lauri Kuusing, foreign relations adviser to the Estonian president, said.

The aim of the state visit is to deepen practical cooperation on defense, education and digital issues and to give momentum to economic relations, the adviser added.
