RIGA - As of this Tuesday, June 15, up to 20 vaccinated persons and those who have recovered from Covid-19 will be allowed to gather at private events, Health Minister Daniels Pavluts (For Development/For) said at a news conference Monday.

Persons who have either received the Covid-19 vaccine or have recovered from the virus will be permitted to hold private gatherings indoors and outdoors, but the maximum number of people allowed to participate in such events is at 20. Participants of such private gatherings will not be required to wear facemasks or stay two meters apart.

Pavluts explained that unlike at public events, the number of people at private events is limited because at public events people's Covid-19 certificates are checked to make sure they are epidemiologically safe.

People without Covid-19 certificates will still be allowed to gather at private events, but the number of people at such indoor events must not exceed ten and they have to be from up to households. For outside events, the number of participants is limited at 20 and the number of households is not limited.
