The Estonian police had to use a spike strip while pursuing a car the driver of which sped past the border crossing point while entering Estonia from Latvia.
Late on the evening of April 24, border control officers at the temporary border inspection point in Sepa Street in the southern border town of Valga noticed a BMW on the Latvian side of the border, the driver of which drove to the side opposite to that appropriate to the direction of traffic, accelerated and entered Estonia avoiding border inspection.
