Phillip Morris Latvia remains largest tax payer in trade sector in 2017

RIGA - Phillip Morris Latvia tobacco product distributor was the largest tax payer in Latvia's trade sector also in 2017, according to the information of the Latvian State Revenue Service about the country's largest tax payers last year.

In 2017, Phillip Morris Latvia paid EUR 104.525 million in taxes. Baltic Sales Network with EUR 89.082 million was in the second place, just like in 2016, but Maxima Latvija retail chain with EUR 38.764 million paid in taxes in 2017 has climbed up a notch from 2016 to the third place in 2017.

Rimi Latvia retail chain has also moved up a place and was the fourth largest tax payer in the Latvian trade sector in 2017 with EUR 34.056 million, followed by Depo DIY with EUR 32.876 million and Greis Logistika with EUR 29.627 million.

The Top 10 of the largest tax payers in the Latvian trade sector in 2017 includes also Sanitex with EUR 18.982 million, Greis with EUR 17.49 million, SE Moller Baltic Import car dealer with EUR 17.041 million and Alfor gambling operator with 16.661 million.

In 2016, the largest tax payers in the Latvian trade sector were Phillip Morris Latvia, Baltic Sales Network and Greis Logistika.
