Parlt to discuss future of Estonian-language higher education

TALLINN - Initiated by the group of Isamaa, the junior member of the government coalition, the Estonian parliament is to discuss the future of Estonian-language higher education as a matter of significant national importance in the Riigikogu on Tuesday.

Presentations will be given by Mihhail Lotman, member of the parliament, Tallinn University professor and senior researcher at the University of Tartu, and Arno Kutt, co-founder and CEO of parcel robots Cleveron and initiator of Cleveron Academy, spokespeople for Isamaa said.

The parliament will also be addressed by Sigrid Vastra, former president of the Federation of Estonian Student Unions and postgraduate student at the University of Tartu, and Martin Ehala, professor at the institute of Estonian and general linguistics of the University of Tartu.
