RIGA - New Year's Eve celebrations in Riga downtown will feature several concerts, a fireworks display, food stalls and much more, the Riga City Council told BNS.
The celebrations will continue from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Multiple food stalls will open on 11 Novembra Krastmala Street at 9 p.m., and a concert will start at 10 p.m., featuring Otra Puse, Antra Stafecka, Colt, Aija Andrejeva and Alex, Big Al & The Jokers, and deejay Artis Dvarionas.
A fireworks display, designed by International Fireworks Design, will be set to music composed by Zigmars Liepins.
At the Cathedral Square in the Old Town, the following artists will perform: Sunny Groove Dixie, The Swamp Shares, and deejay Toms Grevins.
Public transport in Riga will be free of charge on December 31 and January 1.
