RIGA - A national solution for proving the vaccination fact will be ready by June 1, thus, giving residents opportunity to apply, see and use their vaccination certificates on the Digital Green Certificate website, the National Health Service reported.
According to Health Minister Daniels Pavluts (For Development), the respective legislative regulation is also being prepared and will be ready by early June.
The National Health Service said that the Digital Green Certificate website will contain information about vaccination, Covid-19 tests and the fact on recovery from Covid-19.
The National Health Service is also working on a mobile applications that will allow to verify these certificates. "For example, the app can be used by organizers of culture, entertainment mass events if a decision is made on privileges for vaccinated people," said the service.
Along with the national solution, the EU has plans to introduce such a certificate system in the bloc. This will be done by the middle of June, and the National Health Service plans to integrate its solutions into the European Digital Green Certificate system, thus, ensuring information exchange among EU member states on the valid certificates.
