A truly memorable evening was shared by the 600 attendees at the screening of the film Muza at the prestigious Ranieri III Auditorium in Monaco. In the distinguished presence of the Secretary of State, H.E. Mme Yvette Lambin Berti, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Isabella Berro Amadei, the Minister of Health, Christophe Robino, and the Ambassadors of Italy and Lithuania, the President of the Monaco Baltic States Association, Prof Franco Borruto, gave a brief yet profoundly moving introduction to the film and the extraordinary life of its Franco-Lithuanian protagonist.
The evening paid an emotional tribute to the creation and composition of the Lithuanian national anthem and its author, the revered physician and poet, Vinkas Kudirka. Following the solemn performance of both the Lithuanian and Monegasque anthems and the moving film screening, the pianist closed the evening with a masterful rendition of a piece by Liszt, which deeply touched the audience and earned her a well-deserved standing ovation.
On the sidelines of this memorable evening, the Lithuanian community had the honour of meeting Madame RUBACKYTĖ. The Lithuanian community of the Côte d’Azur, consisting of about 50 people, gathered for this special occasion. It was a privileged moment of sincere exchanges about music, which serves as a profound connection to their homeland, geographically distant but forever present in the hearts of the Balts. The emotion was palpable, with every note evoking memories and stirring intense feelings of nostalgia. With tearful eyes, the members of the community shared moments of communion and hope, their hearts filled with pride and love for their homeland, despite the distance.
