LPGU, SocDems agree to postpone Lithuania's new Labour Code for half a year - Karbauskis

VILNIUS - The Lithuanian Peasant and Green Union (LPGU) and the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) have agreed to delay the implementation of the nation’s new Labour Code by six months. "It (the code) will be delayed for half a year. It will be refined and should come into force after we discuss it with the Tripartite Council and adopt the provisions and decision that will be acceptable to all parties," LPGU Chairman Ramunas Karbauskis informed the press following today's meeting between the two parties' negotiating teams. ...
