VILNIUS – As the number of coronavirus cases continues to grow in Lithuania, the country's Police Department announced its decision on Thursday to cancel all planned events and meetings and is offering staff to work remotely.

"Heads of police institutions have been told to adhere to all safety requirements at police institutions, restrict physical contacts with visitors but to organize work in a way that ensure continuous execution of police functions and tasks," the Police Department said in a statement.

All meetings, training events and other activities will be organized remotely by using IT equipment, and police staff members are advised to refrain from foreign trips and avoid mass gatherings.
