RIGA - As July 1, 2022 Latvijas Gaze gas utility is raising its natural gas rates for households by 65.6 percent to 89.9 percent, according to an announcement published in the official gazette Latvijas Vestnesis.
For households consuming up to 250 cubic meters of natural gas per year, the differentiated final sales tariff with value added tax (VAT) and excise duty for the second half of 2022 will increase by 65.6 percent - from EUR 1.10209 per cubic meter to EUR 1.8252 per cubic meter. For households consuming from 250 to 500 cubic meters of natural gas, the final tariff will increase by 74.7 percent - from EUR 0.96649 per cubic meter to EUR 1.6896 per cubic meter.
At the same time, for households consuming between 500 and 25,000 cubic meters of natural gas per year, the final tariff will increase by 89.9 percent - from EUR 0.80405 per cubic meter to EUR 1.52715 per cubic meter.
The fixed part of the distribution system service tariff will remain unchanged.
Namely, the fixed fee for the distribution service with VAT for the permitted load up to six cubic meters per hour will be EUR 3.27 per month, the fee for the permitted load from 6.1 to 10 cubic meters per hour will be EUR 8.99 per month, the fee for the permitted load from 10.1 to 16 cubic meters per hour will be EUR 14.36 per month, fee for the permitted load from 16.1 to 25 cubic meters per hour will be EUR 21.91 per month, as well as for the permitted load from 25.1 to 40 cubic meters per hour the fee will be EUR 32.55 euros per month.
Tariffs for natural gas consumers who consume up to 25,000 cubic meters a year, are revised twice a year – on January 1 and July 1.
