Karins hopes to sign cooperation memorandum with United List and National Alliance on Wednesday

RIGA - New Unity, National Alliance and United List could sign a memorandum of cooperation for formation of a new coalition either on Wednesday, October 26, or Thursday, October 27, New Unity's leader, Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins told reporters today.

Karins agreed though that the memorandum could yet be amended by any of the three parties.

Amendments to the document by the potential coalition partners will be discussed on Wednesday, said Karins.

After the memorandum is signed, it will be possible to move forward much faster with further details elaborated in the government's declaration, explained Karins.

As reported, New Unity has offered the National Alliance and the United List to sign a cooperation memorandum on coalition formation principles this Wednesday, October 26, New Unity representatives informed LETA.

New Unity will meet separately with each party at its headquarters on Wednesday morning.
