RIGA - As of next school year, students will also have to take national tests in natural sciences, the government decided on Tuesday.
There will be different types of tests for high school students: exams, centralized exams and intermediate tests.
Initially, as of next school year, there will be intermediate tests in natural sciences, while starting from the 2025/2026 school year, there will be centralized exams in natural sciences.
According to the government's decision on Tuesday, high school students will additionally have to take one more test in physics, chemistry or biology, and pass the test in order to move on.
