A high-level Saudi delegation, headed by H.E. Eng. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, the Governor of Digital Government Authority and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Digital Cooperation Organization, concluded its visit to the Republic of Estonia. During the visit, the delegation met with a number of digital government senior officials in Estonia with the aim of strengthening cooperation with Estonia and benefiting from its pioneering experience in the field of digital government and setting a common framework between the two sides.
The delegation's visit included a number of meetings with senior officials of digital government in Estonia, including a meeting with Mr. Tiit Riisalo, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Information Technology, Mr. Luukas Ilves, the Chief Information Officer of the Estonian Government, and Ms. Nele Leosk, the Ambassador-at-Large for Digital Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Estonia.
These meetings explored partnership and cooperation opportunities in the field of digital government, showcased the efforts made to accelerate digital transformation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its digital initiatives and governance models that aim to achieve digital government objectives and up level digital maturity in alignment with the Saudi Vision 2030 objectives. The meetings also looked into opportunities for partnership and cooperation in digital government between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Estonia.
Moreover, the delegation held a series of meetings with a number of CEOs of IT companies that aimed at strengthening partnership and opening the way for technology partnerships between both sides to promote and develop digital services and investments in government digital products.
