VILNIUS – Graduation exams in Lithuania will start on June 22 and end by July 21, Education, Science and Sports Minister Algirdas Monkevicius says.
He also confirmed that the first stage of enrollments in higher schools will take place until August 18, and the second one would end on September 4, and higher schools will be able to start the academic year two weeks later.
"We propose starting the education year on September 14," Monkevicius told a press conference today.
Lithuania was placed under quarantine on March 16 and it was later extended until April 27. All cultural and educational establishments are closed during the lockdown and all mass events are banned, and remote schooling is taking place.
