First senior citizens over the age of 70 will be invited to get vaccinated this weekend

RIGA - The first seniors over the age of 70 who had applied on the website manvakcina.lv or by phone 8989 will receive an invitation to be vaccinated against Covid-19 this weekend, the Vaccination Project Bureau informed LETA.

The invitation will be sent in a text message or email.

Next week, other seniors over the age of 70 who have applied at manavakcina.lv or by phone 8989 will receive an invitation to get vaccinated.

This weekend, the first seniors to be vaccinated against Covid-19 will be able to do so at three specific vaccination sites - the Children's Clinical University Hospital, Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital and Riga East Clinical University Hospital.

Furthermore, sometime mid next week, all other residents over the age of 70 who have applied to be vaccinated will receive information where they can be vaccinated.

Next week, family physicians will also begin vaccinating patients in this priority group, based on the applications they have received.
