Estonian alcohol makers say Latvia gaining more and more from Estonian tax hikes

By the end of May, 10 per cent of the Estonian market for strong alcohol had moved to Latvia and estimates suggest that at the end of the year Estonian consumers will buy 20 per cent of strong alcohol at stores situated on the Latvian side of the Estonian-Latvian border, the Estonian Alcohol Producers and Alcohol Importers Association says.
