Estonia's SDE: In free society, people's private life is not decided about in referendum

The extended board of Estonia's opposition Social Democratic Party (SDE) said in a political statement adopted on September 26 that the Constitution does not need to be amended to add to it the definition of marriage and that deciding about people's private life in a  referendum is not appropriate for a free society. The extended board of SDE finds that the Constitution of Estonia must not be drawn into a senseless political fight that is aimed at mobilizing a portion of the electorate through sowing animosity and creating rift in the society. &...
