Estonia planning to renew cultural cooperation agreement with Russia

TALLINN - This fall the Estonian Culture Ministry is planning to start preparing for entering into a new cultural cooperation program with Russia.

"The present cooperation program between the Estonian and Russian Ministry of Culture is already the ninth and it will end this year. Since the cultural relationship between Estonia and Russia is good, we are planning to prepare a new program this fall," deputy head of the Estonian Culture Ministry's foreign relations department Madis Jarv told BNS on Friday.

The first cultural cooperation agreement between Estonia and Russia was signed in May 1992.
