RIGA - Politicians will have to reach agreement during discussions on additional Covid-19 restrictions whether to allow operation of both hair salons and manicure salons, or to order both types of salons to close for the duration of the state of emergency, Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) said during a meeting with President Egils Levits and Saeima Chairwoman Inara Murniece on Monday.
There is a lot of confusion and many people do not understand why hair salons have been allowed to continue operations, while manicure salons have been shut down.
